170 Tan Malaka deported
In 1922 Tan Malaka was exiled to the Netherlands and sent Jan Romein an article about this for De Tribune. He wrote Indonesia and Its Place in the Awakening of the Orient (published in Russian) for the Comintern, and later devised unorthodox revolutionary views.
