74 Squatters and Bluf!
With the rise of heavy industry and working-class neighbourhoods in the cities, housing surfaced on the agenda everywhere. While for a long time quality was the chief concern, quantity became the problem in the Netherlands following the Second World War. The housing supply was never adequate, and increasing numbers of young people became squatters in the 1970s. From 1980 some of them took a broader, more radical approach to squatting. Bluf! became their frequently confiscated favourite magazine.
