A Matter of Time
Another Watch, another Time
Perhaps the most basic way to change time is to change your watch or clock. While it is telling time, your watch or clock also says something about you - about your fashion awareness, or about your political beliefs. If your watch bears the emblem of your party, or the image of the leader you support, you are not only identifiable as a supporter of this party or person. Every time you look for the time, it will be your time. If you live in China, it can be Cultural Revolution time, Mao Zedong time or Deng Xiaoping time forever. If you are Kurdish, living in Turkey, it can be Kurdistan time already. And if you live in Indonesia, it can become the time of your candidate for the 2004 presidential elections: Megawati, Rais, Wiranto or Yudhoyono (who eventually won).
